Last Chance...

So 2011 is nearly upon us, and thus starts the deathwatch.  There have been 6 entries so far to the competition, but I'm confident we'll get a couple of stragglers who have been waiting until the witching hour for news of some mischievous little cancer cells invading another spoiled celeb.

Quite a bit of variety with the entries received so far, although one person has managed to make every single list submitted.  If only they knew how popular they were in one small corner of the interweb, they might even hang on just to spite us all.

Any last minute visitors, please get your list over to me sharpish (well, by midnight).  Those who are already involved - i'll get the full lists up on here over the weekend so you can dispute any dodgy ones.

Selections Please

Ok, we're good to go.  If you check out the left-hand side of the page you will find a link to the rules of the 2011 Death Pool.

In a nutshell you need to pick a "team" of 10 famous people who you think will die during 2011.  If you are right you will receive points based on their age, plus some potential bonus points.

There will be a £10 cost per entry, with all monies collected being dished out to the top points scorer(s) at the end of the competition.

I think the main thing that may cause issues are disagreements about what actually counts as a celebrity, therefore I have proposed we set aside the first week in January to raise any objections to the lists of selections that I publish.  If necessary we'll have a group vote and force people to submit a replacement.

Ok I think that is all for now.  You should all have my email so just get your lists over as soon as you can - deadline obviously 31st December.  I realise that I could gain an advantage by seeing your picks come in so will be emailing mine to myself before the end of the weekend.  Therefore if you don't want to tip me off it might be best to wait until next week!
